Ziyad Hadi

Ziyad specializes in advising local and multinationals clients in relation to corporate, commercial, private equity and M&A matters.

He has represented acquirers, sellers and targets, joint venture partners and consortiums in cross-border transactions with targets located in various jurisdictions including the UAE, India, England, the US, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt, Libya and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Before joining M.B. Kemp (ME) LLP, Ziyad was a partner at Afridi & Angell in Dubai, and prior to that was an associate at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Field LLP in Dubai, Rizvi, Isa, Afridi & Angell in Karachi and Arnold & Porter LLP in Washington DC.

Most recently, Ziyad advised a buyer on its acquisition of a visa procurement business in the UAE, a GCC private equity fund on its acquisition of a cloud kitchen business, a British company on the sale of its UAE facilities management and owners’ association businesses, the seller on its disposal of a UAE IT business to an international software services company, the buyer on the acquisition of a vertical farming business in the UAE and KSA, the seller on its sale of a healthcare clinic with branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and the buyer on its purchases of a polyclinic in Dubai and a hospital in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Ziyad has a J.D. with cum laude honors from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Cornell University.
